Smt. Poorna Chandrika, a Carnatic singer and guru, has been performing for 25 years across various concerts, programs, and festivals throughout India.
Raised in a musical family, she absorbed the nuances of Carnatic music early on. Her father, Kalaimamani Karukurichi Shri A. Ravi Narayanan and her mother N. Shyamala, are professional veena artists. She began her Carnatic training under her grandfather, the late Karukurichi S. Adhinarayanan, and later continued her journey under renowned Guru Shri A.S.Murali. Both her grandfather and father are esteemed A.I.R. grade artists.
She has been featured on TV channels such as Sri Sankara and TTD, showcasing her talent and dedication to the art form.
With MA in music from Annamalai university, Chidambaram, Smt Poorna has won many prizes in zonal level competitions and is also been awarded “Yuva kala Bharathi’
For the past 11 years, she has been mentoring numerous students, emphasizing both practical and theoretical knowledge to provide a comprehensive understanding of music.
