T.V. Ramprasadh’s eminence in the world of Carnatic music spans over the last 3 decades through his extensive performing and teaching experiences. With a majestic voice, panoramic range of vocal capabilities, deep understanding of a vast range of repertoire, he is one of the most respected musicians amongst the veterans of Carnatic music at these times. He is known to create profound musical experiences with non-compromising adherence to the core traditional aspects while rendering unbounded “Manodharma '' explorations with exemplary sensitivity.
His musical training was initiated by Mahalakshmi Natrajan (Bombay) and Sharada Satyanarayana. He carries forward and beyond a rich lineage of his Gurus - Padma Bhushan P.S. Narayanaswamy, Sangita Kalacharya S. Rajam, T.V. Gopalakrishnan and R.R. Keshavamurthy. An 'A-grade' All India Radio Artist, his programs have been broadcasted on radio and television in State, Zonal, and National networks, since over the past 25 years. He is an empaneled artist of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).
A composer, practicing scholar, master and musical spokesperson, he continues to devote himself to in-depth practice, performance, and transmission of Carnatic music.
In addition to his professional commitments to music and teaching, a larger side of his pursuits involves deeply engaging drives to educational and social causes at the grass root levels.
As the director of e-Ambalam, in the year 2011 he pioneered the vision of enabling an online platform for transmission of Indian classical arts to a larger global community. In 2014 he launched the Life Art Education project: a K-12 school based program which made it possible to incorporate music, dance, yoga and personality development programs to school children as a part of their core curriculum. As of today, e- Ambalam and Life Art Education programs have touched the lives of over 50,000 students in about 25 countries.
TV Ramprasadh has been awarded titles like the Gaanakalashree , Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam Asthaana Vidwan, Gaana Kala Vishaarada, Gaayana Gandharva, Naada Vallabha - to name a few.
