Nithyakalyani, a senior disciple of Guru Padmasri Adyar K Lakshman, has assiduously imbibed the pristine style from her Guru. She trained in subtleties & nuances of Abhinaya from the doyen Padma Bhushan Smt. Kalanidhi Narayanan. Her competency in Nattuvangam comes from extensive training under Smt. Kamala Rani & Bhagavatulu Sri Seetharama Sharma.
Nithyakalyani’s experience in different aspects of this art form spans across five decades and she has performed widely in prestigious festivals & conducted workshops in India and abroad. She imparts wholesome training for a number of performing dancers across the globe and extends Nattuvangam support for senior artists apart from choreographic and creative inputs for various projects.
She has been a visiting faculty for Nattuvangam at Kalakshetra Foundation since 2014. She has conducted several workshops as a faculty of nattuvangam at Navadarshana, headed by Smt. Priyadarshini Govind since its inception in 2019.
As a committee member of ABHAI, she has been actively involved in conducting workshops for fundraising and outreach activities.
