Her zeal for music is an enduring journey. Born to a very musical family, Katyayini has a Master’s degree in Music from Dr. Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University Mysore. She formalized her music under Guru Pandit M P Hegde Padigere, who is a maestro of Gwalior Gharana and well versed with all gharanas.
Apart from Hindustani classical music she is well versed with light classical varieties, gazals, bhajans, abhangs, bhavgeet etc. She has performed on various prestigious stages across the state and is applauded as one of the young faces of Hindustani classical music.
She has been honoured by SPIC MACAY(Karnataka State Convention), Dept of Kannada and Culture, Bangalore, Mysuru Dasara Festival, Deshpande Centre for Social Entrepreneurship-Hubballi Dhwani, Vishwamanava yuva vedike, Akhila Bharata havyaka Mahasabha. She holds Vidwath with Distinction and also she is a B grade artist in AIR(in Light Vocal). Apart from these, she got many prizes in Competitions conducted by different organizations across the state.
