Ragini's inception into Karnatic Music was at a tender age, under the guidance of maternal grandmothers well known as ‘Bangalore sisters’ Smt Vid Susheela Desikan and Smt Vid. M.G. Sulochana. She pursued learning under the tutelage of Smt Vid Sankari Krishnan, a beacon in the Lalgudi Style of music.
