Smt. Savitha Balasubramaniam,was born into a family of music lovers, had a natural flair for music right from a very young age. She started learning Carnatic music at an early age under the tutelage of Padma Bhushan Sri Vaidhyanatha Bhagavathar, Wadala, Mumbai. She later pursued her advanced level training from Smt. Raji Srinivasan, Mulund, Mumbai a disciple of Sri Voletti Venkateswarulu, for about 12 years and Sangeetha Kala Acharya Sri.S.Ramachandran of Shanmukhananda Sabha, Mumbai for about 3 years. Here, she could delve more on the theory and the art of notation writing.
She had a great learning opportunity being a part of a group called Nadasudha with like minded friends all passionate about music. She is well versed with numerous krithis,light songs,bhajans and compositions of different composers. She has been teaching at Mulund fine arts for 9 years.
She is a versatile and passionate teacher with more than 25 years of teaching experience and has been training students ranging from beginners to advanced levels.
