About the workshop: 

This workshop is thoughtfully curated that invites students to explore this extraordinary legacy through music, literature and meaning.

Participants will discover the works of celebrated mystics from diverse traditions and regions of India, while learning to render these compositions with authenticity, musical sensitivity and expressive depth.

What You Will Learn

  • Authentic rendition of compositions from various Indian languages and traditions.
  • Correct pronunciation, diction and articulation of each song
  • The meaning, context and philosophical essence of every composition.
  • Musical nuances, bhāva (expression), and stylistic interpretation.

This is an immersive exploration into India’s rich spiritual and artistic heritage—where every composition becomes a doorway to understanding the philosophy, emotions and cultural ethos of our great land.

Workshop Details:

Prerequisite: Students should be at the keerthanam stage (at least beginner level) 

Dates: 3rd and 4th October 2026

Day: Saturday and Sunday

Number of sessions: 2

Timings: 8.30 am to 10 am (IST)
