A Journey from Folk to Classical Mastery Hailing from the serene town of *Itapara, Gohpur (Assam), Keshab Baruah* is a dedicated musician whose passion for music was kindled by the folk traditions of Assam. His introduction to classical music came during an Assamese Lokgeet competition, where his talent was recognized by his first mentor, *Shri Biju Kumar Ramchiary*. This moment set the course for a lifelong devotion to music. Keshab began his formal training under *Shri Nand Banerjee* in Guwahati and continued his education at *Bhatkhande University, Lucknow*, receiving advanced training in the traditional gurukul system from *Shri Basant Kumar Saikia* and *Shri Nand Banerjee*. His journey took a significant turn as he refined his vocal skills under the esteemed *Shri Suresh Wadekar.* With over *15 years of vocal experience* and more than *2000 performances worldwide* — including India, Indonesia, Bali, and South Korea — Keshab has made his mark as a versatile and skilled artist. His talent was recognized at high-profile events like the *Ekam Satt Unity Concert* and *Vardi Ke Veer* in 2020 and 2022, curated by Celebrity Singer & Entertainer *Shri Ameya Dabli*, where he performed alongside legends like *A R Rahman and Shaan*. Keshab also achieved national recognition as a *Top 5 finalist in the reality show Sur Sagar (DD National)*, where he performed with *Band Mumbai Beats*. His versatility extends to playback singing, where he collaborated with Shaan for the Marathi song *”Jagne Kasle”* from the movie Ruhn. He has graced several elite stages, including performing at the *Pre-Wedding Celebration of Anant Ambani & Radhika Marchant* in Jamnagar with the *Ajay-Atul band* and alongside *Mithoon’s band* (famed for Aashiqui 2). With a *Sangeet Visharad* degree from *Bhatkhande University*, Keshab Baruah continues to push musical boundaries, blending tradition with contemporary influences.
