Smt. Ragini Sanath
About
Dr Ragini Sanath is a Karnatak classical vocalist, musicologist, researcher, and educator. She trained under her maternal grandmothers , the renowned Bangalore Sisters and is currently under the guidance of eminent musicologist, Dr. Meera Rajaram Pranesh. She holds a Doctorate in Music from Jain University, is a CCRT Junior Fellow, and an M.Phil. Gold Medalist. She is the author of the book Kannada Gēya Prabandha-s of the 15th–18th Century Haridāsa-s, based on her doctoral research. A core research member of the Vanamala Center for Art and Culture, she contributes to research, publications, and documentaries. She has presented papers at numerous national and international conferences on Karnataka music and Haridāsa literature. She serves as a Visiting Lecturer in the MPA Programme at the Lakshminarayana Global Centre of Excellence (LGCE), Bengaluru.
She is a graded artist of All India Radio (AIR), Bengaluru, associated with the TTD Dāsa Sāhitya Project, was awarded the prestigious Purandaranugraha prashasti. She has previously held corporate management positions with Tata Consultancy Services and MediAssist.
